Islamic Jihad will not get involved in Syria

Islamic Jihad on Tuesday denied reports that its militants are fighting alongside Hezbollah in the ongoing battles for the Syrian town of Qusayr. "Forcibly adding (the movement's) name is an attempt to misguide people that the movement has changed its priority which is to fight against the occupation of Palestine," Islamic Jihad said in a statement. Islamic Jihad continues to support a diplomatic solution that ensures the unity of the Syrian land and people, the movement added.
