The Interior Ministry's Prison Department agreed on Thursday to move 32 inmates to prisons near their families' residence due to their health and social conditions.
The recent figure brings to 1,389 the number of prisoners who were moved near the residence of their families since January 1, the ministry said in a statement.
The move comes as part of the ministry's efforts to consider the humanitarian and social dimensions of prisoners and offer all possible care according to the modern theory of punishment.
