Egypt Today, egypt today Hossam Eissa: Egypt new consitution very good

Kuwait City - MENA

As the government in Egypt is getting ready to hold a referendum on the amended constitution, Higher Education Minister Hossam Eissa has made it clear he is for the charter, which, to him, seems all in all "very good". The new constitution will reflect all Egyptians regardless of their different views, Eissa said in an interview with Kuwait's Al-Watan newspaper, out Saturday. "We believe the Egyptian people will vote on this constitution to protect their revolution and entity," the minister said. All in all, the constitution is "very good", he noted. He expected that people will vote for the constitution that should be followed by parliamentary and later presidential elections. All this should take place before summer, he said. The Muslim Brotherhood rule will not be restored before at least 30 years to come, Eissa believes. He said tourism in Egypt has only just started to rebound, pointing to a big rise in travel rates to Sharm el-Sheikh and other Red Sea resorts. Hopefully, this would soon be the same in Luxor and Aswan, Eissa said.
