Sanaa - Saba

President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Sunday academics, members of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC), tribal leaders and politicians form Hadhramout, Shabwa, al-Mahara and Socotra. President Hadi spoke to the attendees about Yemen’s updates and arrangements to conclude NDC, stressing that the outcomes of NDC will result a Yemen in which all people enjoy justice and equality. He cited that Yemen faced many crises and hardships since the the September and October revolutions, and that projects of infrastructure such as electricity, water and health and education broke down. Hadi singled out that Yemen had engaged in conflicts with the aim of controlling power, stressing the importance of creating a new governance system in which all people share power and resources. He spelt out that experts and consultants confirm that the federal system is the best appropriate to Yemen, reaffirming that this system will achieve prosperity, success, development as well as maintaining Yemen as a united democratic state. Hadi strongly rejected the claims of people who pretend that the federal system could fragment Yemen, saying that some people only think about accomplishing their own narrow interests. Hadi hailed the GCC-brokered power transfer deal, emphasizing that it spared Yemen from plunging into wars and divisions. “All people know to which extent the army, security forces and community divided, but devoted political forces could save the state from further crises and their repercussions” he added. Hadi appreciated efforts exerted by the UN Security Council, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the European Union and the five permanent members of the UN, mentioning that they significantly contributed for the success of Yemen’s transition. He explained that federal regions would be scientifically created in the ways that put an end to sectarianism, racism and discrimination. Hadi affirmed that Yemen has resources of gas, oil, gold, copper, zinc and cooper across different Yemeni areas, citing that Yemen could benefit of its resources if there is security and stability. He added that the federal government systems could reduce corruption and that the international community sustains such government system. The attendees said that Hadi could lead Yemen in a very critical stage and get it out of its crises, asserting that they will stand by him and support his decisions.
