GCC Secretary-General Abdul-Latif Al-Zayani denounced here on Saturday a bombing that took place in several towns in Yemen on Friday and left scores of people killed or wounded. Car bombs targeted two military sites at Yemen's southern governorate of Shabwa on Friday. Around 20 people died when two car bombs exploded at a military camp in al-Nashama and about 10 people were killed by gunmen in the town of Mayfaa. Al-Zayani said the GCC member states condemn such bombings, which aim to destabilize security and stability in Yemen, as "terrorist and criminal acts" in violation of human principles and values. He reiterated the GCC members' support for the Yemeni people and leadership in their efforts to fight terrorism and extremism.
