
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today met with Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the sideline of 68th session of UN General Assembly in New York. Foreign Affairs Minister expressed appreciation and pride in the solid fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and renewed the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm stance and support for the sisterly State of Egypt in all regional and international forums. Foreign Minister stressed Bahrain's keenness to support the Egyptian government to maintain security and stability and achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people. He expressed confidence that Egypt will regain its Arab and regional leading role in standing up for Arab and Islamic issues. The meeting discussed bolstering bilateral relations in various fields and coordinating stances in international forums, as well as the latest developments and issues in the Middle East.
