First phase of Azhar restoration project to be completed in Ramadan

Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anany called for completing the first phase of the restoration project of the historic Azhar Mosque and Azhar HQ for their opening in the Muslim lunar month of Ramadan (June) as scheduled.
Anany made the remark while inspecting Historic Cairo area on Monday.
The project started last year and the first phase covers the restoration of part of the mosque and the whole Azhar HQ building, said head of Islamic and Coptic antiquities sector at the ministry el Saeed Helmy.
