
Three days of fighting among local militiamen in northern city of Tripoli has claimed nine deaths and left more than 50 others wounded, the official media said on Saturday.High tension prevailed in the port city on Saturday, with sporadic crackle of gun and sniper fire echoing across the city, the official media said, affirming that intensity of the fighting between the opposing districts of Baal Mohsen and Bab Al-Tebbaneh has subsided.All businesses, schools and universities located close to the demarcation lines were shut and traffic was thin, amid the recurring blasts.
