Future Parliamentary bloc MP, Ahmad Fatfat, confirmed on Monday that he was "very proud" of his accomplishments in Marjeyoun, when he assumed the Interior Minister's portfolio back in 2006. "All the stories that were told about me offering tea cups to the enemy soldiers during the Israeli aggression of 2006 are a huge lie," Fatfat told Al-Jadeed TV. "That was not treason, but rather more a mistake which was committed by a Lebanese Army soldier who followed the demands an U.N. officer, and not an Israeli one," he said. He also made clear that the same Lebanese soldier had been arrested for three days for interrogation, which all ended proving that no treason was involved.
