Delegates from Palestinian Fatah and Hamas movements met in Gaza Strip on Sunday evening to discuss implementation of reconciliation and the position vis-a-vis unrest in Egypt, local radio stations reported. They have also discussed how to end the exchange of accusations through media, they added. Relations between the two rival groups have become tense after Fatah accused Hamas security authorities of arresting a large number of Fatah members in Gaza. This came after Hamas announced it has evidence that the Palestinian Authority and Fatah were launching a campaign against the resistance movement via the Egyptian and Tunisian media. Hamas security authorities banned Fatah central committee member Zakaria Al-Agha from traveling to Ramallah in the West Bank today. Hamas said today's meeting was at the behest of Fatah. The radio stations in Gaza quoted Fatah officials as saying they proposed possible holding of presidential and legislative elections.
