
The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, provided food aid to staff and patients at Chest Disease and Tuberculosis Hospital in Mukalla, Yemen on Tuesday.
The assistance was in line with humanitarian aid provided by the UAE to the Yemenis in hopes of alleviating suffering and meeting their needs.
The humanitarian gesture was met with joy and appreciation from its beneficiaries. They also lauded the role played by the UAE's leadership, government and people for their continuous efforts in supporting the people of Hadramaut.
Abdullah Al Musafri, Head of the ERC team in Hadramaut, said the assistance was in light of the UAE’s charity and humanitarian efforts in the Yemeni arena.
Al Musafri added that all humanitarian efforts needed to rally to end the families’ suffering and improve their living conditions.
Hospital Director Dr. Khalid Al Amoudi hailed the UAE and ERC's humanitarian work, which were welcomed by the city.
