The Emirates Red Crescent continues to offer urgent humanitarian and rescue aid to the residents of Shabwah, as part of its constant efforts to support the people of Yemen.
It delivered a shipment of medical supplies to the Bi’r Ali Medical Centre in Rodoom, Shabwa, to strengthen and support the Yemeni health services, which is one of the most affected by the current crisis.
Abdullah Al Musaferi, President of the Emirates Red Crescent team, said that supporting the Bi’r Ali Medical Centre is part of its efforts to provide the required medicines and medical needs for the citizens of Yemen, and to strengthen the role and performance of its vital sectors, including the medical and health sector.
He highlighted the severe scarcity of medicines and medical supplies that is being witnessed by the sector, and pointed to an increase in the injured and ill people. He added that there were specialised medical committees that carefully studied the priorities and needs of the important and vital sectors, which send urgent reports to the Emirates Red Crescent, who could provide the required assistance.
Hady Saeed Al Kharmaa, the Secretary-General for the Local Council in the Rodoom Bureau, praised the constant medical and rescue support from the Emirates Red Crescent to the citizens of Shabwah. He also valued its humanitarian projects, which strengthen the perseverance of the region’s citizens who face these harsh circumstances.
Mubarak Abdullah bin Afif, the Manager of the Health Office in the Bureau of Rodoom, also expressed his gratitude to the UAE for offering the shipment of medical aid that came just in time, as they were desperately needed by patients. This shipment will fulfil the needs of local citizens and will allow the Bi’r Ali Medical Centre to continue its humanitarian work, he added.
