The cabinet approved, during its meeting Monday under Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, a presidential decree declaring a state of emergency across the nation for three months to start as of today at 1:00 pm.
The armed forces and police will take necessary steps to face terrorism, maintain security and protect public property.
