
The transport ministers of Egypt, Jordan and Iraq held a tripartite meeting on the sidelines of the Arab Transport Ministers Council at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria.
Transport Minister Galal Said stated on Tuesday they discussed proposals of the three countries to develop services of carrying passengers and goods on board ships of the Arab Bridge Maritime between Nuweiba and Aqaba navigation line.
Said said the meeting also discussed how to overcome current difficulties as a result of conditions in the Arab region.
An agreement was reached to help the company tap new markets, the Egyptian official added.
The meeting is attended by the Arab transportation ministers as well as Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs for the Arab League Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al Tuwaijri and representatives of Arab organizations and unions.
