
Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali allotted EGP 10,000 in compensation for the families of each person killed in the massive fire that erupted at dawn Monday in the commercial Rowaei Street in Downtown Cairo’s Attaba district.
The minister decided to give every injured person a EGP 2,000 compensation.
She inspected the fire scene, which gutted hundreds of shops in the area.
The fire losses are being estimated and the process is expected to be completed Thursday, the minister told MENA.
The enormous fire left three persons killed and 91 injured. (MENA)
