Body Guards officers thwarted the smuggling of 900,000 Captagon pills in Duba city
Jeddah - Arab Today

Border Guards officers in Duba city, Tabuk governorate, Thursday foiled an attempt to smuggle 900,000 Captagon pills aboard a ship attempting to enter Saudi territorial waters from the Egyptian territorial waters.
Border Guards official spokesperson Commodore Saher bin Mohammed Al-Harbi said that electronic monitoring devices detected a boat entering Saudi waters that fall under the responsibility of Duba in an attempt at smuggling a large amount of narcotics.
“The boat was immediately intercepted. The people on board started throwing some plastic barrels that later turned out to contain Captagon pills into the sea. Two Egyptians were arrested; they admitted to smuggling drugs,” Al-Harbi said, adding that the barrels were picked up from the seas. Some were connected with the anchor.
After examination, it was discovered that they contained some 900,000 Captagon pills.
At the time the spokesman was making his statement, the search was still going on.
Al-Harbi said that the Kingdom’s Border Guards will work indefatigably to prevent smugglers from introducing drugs into the country and protect the Kingdom’s youth.
