Beirut - Arab Today

The visit by an Egyptian consular delegation to Lebanon was meant to communicate with the Egyptian community in Lebanon, a senior Foreign Ministry official said on Friday.

Speaking to MENA, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates Hisham el Naqib said that the Egyptian leadership gives top priority to the Egyptian workers abroad.

The visit came upon directions of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, the diplomat said.

The welfare of Egyptians abroad is one of the main duties of the ministry, he added.
