Abu dhabi - Arab Today

The Centre of Digital Innovation, CoDI, in the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, TRA, has announced its comprehensive training programme for 2017. The programme includes a series of workshops and lectures relevant to ICT, smart applications and Business Management.

The training programme is targeting employees at local and federal government entities in the UAE, as well as university students, researchers in various scientific fields, job seekers, teachers, entrepreneurs, projects and initiatives owners in the UAE and the Arab region.

Commenting on the programme, Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA Director-General, said, "We are happy to put our efforts for the year 2017 by launching this training programme for CoDI, in order to implement the decisions of the national smart transformation plan, and achieve the desired goals represented by developing the national competences to be able to meet the future growth needs in the country. We were able to accomplish major achievements in smart transformation and the provision of necessary infrastructure for launching smart services. Our main objective now is to increase the rates of services utilisation, which would reflect positively on the comfort and happiness of customers."

Majid Almadhloum, Manager of CoDI, said, "This training aims to provide participants such as government employees, students and other targeted groups, with more knowledge, science and best practices. This would enable them to better participate in the government smart projects such as the Government Services Bus, the Smart Pass, and other smart government initiatives. We looking forward this year to achieving all the planned objectives in training, qualifying competencies and preparing them to keep up with all the updates in this field."
