Chief of staff Sobhy inspects troops in Sinai

Armed Forces Chief of Staff (CoS) Lt.-Gen. Sedky Sobhy inspected on Saturday Military troops and police participating in operations against terrorist and criminal hotbeds in Sinai.In statements, Sobhy asserted that defending the homeland and protecting its national security are the main missions of the Armed Forces.He stressed that the army would remain the protective shield for Egypt's great people.He hailed efforts exerted by the army and police in combating terrorists in Sinai.The Chief of Staff honored a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, conscripts and policemen during his visit to the region.Commander of the 2nd Field Army Maj.-Gen. Mohamad Shahat and the Sinai Security chief accompanied Sobhy during the tour.
