A small improvised bomb, weighing 200 grams, attached to a vehicle exploded in the northern city of Tripoli slightly injuring one person, the Lebanese Army said Sunday. A statement by the army said that the bomb occurred in Al-Quba area causing slight injury to the owner of the car Sheikh Saad Ad-Deen Gheya, who was nearby at the time. The statement added a military expert found out that the cause of the explosion was a bomb attached underneath the car. Military police are investigating the scene to find the culprits, the statement noted. The city witnessed in recent week two car bombings targeting Al-Taqwa and Al-Salam mosques, causing 45 deaths and around 500 injured people.
