Mohammed bin Rashid
Dubai - WAM

The Board of Directors of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library, headed by Mohammed Al Murr, thanked Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the trust he put in the board.

"We thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for his confidence in us, and we hope the library will play a significant cultural role in the UAE in particular and the Arab World in general," Al Murr said.

According to him, the launch of the library follows the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to make 2016 the Year of Reading.

Al Murr said that the board would follow the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed to make "this cultural institution a treasure for knowledge and home for readers, writers and authors."
