Jerusalem - BNA

Jerusalem Affairs Minister and Al-Quds Governor Adnan Al-Hussaini has informed a Bahraini parliamentary delegation on the reality of situation in Jerusalem City and the sufferings of its people under Israel's occupational and inhuman policies, and repeated attempts to falsify history by Judaizing the old holy city in order to create a new status quo through transforming its Palestinian, Arab, Islam and Christian character. This came as the delegation, comprising MPs Ibrissem Hijris and Ahmed Al-Sa'ati, toured the holy city of Al-Quds, its neighbourhoods and Al-Aqsa Mosque and were briefed about Iseael's Judaization policies through seizing its people's homes, displacement of its Palestinian residents, enforcing dangerous laws, such as the Absentee Property Law, and imposition of heavy taxes and restrictions on them.Adnan Al-Hussaini asserted that the "brotherly Arab" delegation aims to be informed on the real situation of the Palestinians, boost their morale and strengthen their resistance.Members of the delegation also met the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories Shaikh Mohammed Hussain who welcomed their visit, noting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' call for Arabs to visit Palestine will consolidate the Palestinians' resistance and struggle and mobilise support for their right to establish their own independent state with Jerusalem as its permanent capital. The delegation was also welcomed by the President of the Supreme Endowments Council in Jerusalem Shaikh Abdul Adheem Salhab and updated on Israel's violations and intentions against the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.MP Ibtissem Hijris expressed hope that the Arab Palestinian people would be able to achieve its aspirations for an Independent State, currently recognised as a Non-member state by the UN.She expressed delight over visiting Jerusalem city, voicing pride in brotherly Palestinians' steadfastness. She voiced confidence in the Palestinian people's ability to establish their fully sovereign state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.Regarding MP Ahmed Al-Sa'ati, he stressed the importance of Jerusalem for Arab and Muslim peoples, and called for the need to constantly support the Palestinian people. He congratulated the Palestinian Muslims on Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)'s Birthday and Christians on Christmas. It is to be noted that the Bahraini delegation is currently on a "solidarity" visit to the Palestinian territories to hold meetings with Palestinian officials in various governorates on ways of bolstering cooperation between the two brotherly peoples.Members of the delegation, accompanied with the Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain Taha Mohammed Abdul Qader, were welcomed by the Palestinian President, ministers and senior officials. The Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Bahraini monarch, government and people for their constant support for the Palestinian people.
