
The Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received the family of student Ali Ahmed Al-Nashaba who was freed from his abductors by a Bahraini police team in Malaysia. The Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Hassan Al Hassan was also present on the occasion. The Minister welcomed the family members and congratulated them for the safe return of their son. He said the leadership gave great importance to the security and safety of every Bahraini, whether inside the country or abroad. In this context, the Ministry has moved swiftly to have the student freed in order to ensure his safety. The Minister praised the efficiency of the Bahraini police team which had coordinated with the Malaysian security authorities. He said the case represented a new milestone in Bahrain’s security performance and showed the development of the Bahraini police. The student’s family appreciated the Ministry’s efforts and the care and directives of the Minister. The family said the student’s safe return showed the leadership’s concern for the safety of the children of Bahrain.
