El-Sayed El-Badawi, the head of Al-Wafd Party and a member of a constitutional panel, warned against attempts targeting the Egyptian army. "Anyone is seeking to target the Egyptian army would be a traitor to Arabism and Islam," he told Kuwaiti Al-Rai daily. "The Egyptian people over their history have a special appreciation to the army." El-Badawi said there are no reconciliations with "terrorism", adding violence and terror can be encountered with political solutions. "How could we negotiate with those who are committing and inciting terror?" , he added.
