Egypt and the UAE are major partners in the fight against terrorism and extremism, said Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa Tuesday.
Gomaa, in statements to MENA before leaving for Abu Dhabi, praised the leading experiments of Egypt and the UAE in peaceful coexistence.
He hailed as "distinguished and historical" relations between the two Arab countries, appreciating the UAE's supportive stances toward Egypt.
In Abu Dhabi, Gomaa is scheduled to deliver a lecture to refute claims of extremists about jihad and Islamic rule.
He will also hold talks with UAE officials on means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
