The Arab Parliament on Monday stressed its support for Comoros development and investment fund which has been established in line with a decision taken at the Arab summit in the Libyan city of Sirte.
The fund aims at achieving economic development and prosperity for the people of the east African country.
Addressing a regional symposium on Comoros parliamentary practices, Arab parliament speaker Mishaal bin Fahm al Salami underscored the importance of drawing up a plan that prioritizes development projects in Comoros during the coming stage.
As the Arab Parliament attaches great importance to Comoros, it has formed an ad-hoc committee to study development opportunities and fight poverty in the African country, the speaker added.
