The Arab League (AL) praised on Wednesday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's initiative to revive peace talks between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
In statements to reporters, Deputy Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed bin Helli said the initiative is an opportunity to reunite the Palestinian people and achieve national reconciliation.
The Arab foreign ministers will discuss, during their urgent meeting on May 28, the Palestinian issue, the latest developments in Libya and preparations for the upcoming Arab summit scheduled to be held in Nouakchott in July, Bin Helli noted.
