Arab League welcomes anti-settlements resolution

The Arab League Saturday welcomed the vote by the Security Council condemning Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmad Abu al-Ghait congratulated the Palestinian leadership and people for achieving this decision after 35 years of the council issuing a similar resolution.
“The vote shows how much support the struggle of the Palestinian people for their rights has in the international community,” he said.
