Jordan's parliamentary elections represent an important step in the democratic process in the kingdom, the Arab League mission observing the 2016 Jordanian elections said on Friday.
"The elections were held in line with the international standards and enabled Jordanians to cast their vote without any barriers," the mission said in a report on the one-day vote.
The number of registered voters reached 4,139,612 this year compared to 2,272,182 in 2013, it said.
The vote was held on Tuesday, with Islamists winning seats after years of boycott.
