
The Arab League on Monday strongly condemned the attack in Jordan's Karak province, resulting in the killing of a number of security personnel, civilians and a tourist, as well as injuring a number of others.
In a statement, Dr. Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, said, "The Arab League stands by the Kingdom of Jordan and supports all measures it deems necessary to protect its security and stability."
He called for exerting tremendous efforts to uproot terrorism as it poses a great threat on stability and safety of nations, expressing sincere condolences to the Jordanian leaders and people and the families of the victims, and wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
