Arab League chief urges comprehensive ceasefire in Syria

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit called on Monday for enforcing a ceasefire all over Syria and implementing UN Security Council resolutions as a step to reach a comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis and meet the aspirations of the Syrian people.
Speaking at the opening of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council on Aleppo, Abul Gheit held the Syrian regime and its allies responsible for the ongoing crimes in Syria.
He condemned the international silence and failure.
He warned that the evacuation of civilians from eastern Aleppo would be a step for demographic change.
