President of the Republic, Michel Aoun
Lebanon - Arab Today

President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, followed up closely on the work of the Lebanese mission to Istanbul with Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and Foreign Affairs Minister, Gibran Bassil, in the wake of Istanbul terror attack on New Year's eve which claimed the lives of three Lebanese and injured others.

The President was briefed by the mission over their field visit to the hospitals where they checked on the conditions of injured Lebanese.

Aoun was also updated over the recent discussions with the Turkish authorities about procedures to repatriate martyrs' bodies to Lebanon, expected to arrive to Beirut Airport by this evening.

President Aoun also instructed the facilitation of the transfer of injured nationals whose health allowed them to complete their treatment in Lebanon.
