Algeria : Nation Council fall session opens

The Council of Nation (Upper House of Parliament) fall session opened Monday in Algiers in plenary session, chaired by the president of the Council, Abdelkader Bensalah. The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Assembly Speaker Mohamed-Larbi Ould Khelifa, Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and members of the government. The opening of this session occurs in accordance with Article 118 of the Constitution and Article 5 of the Organic Law establishing the organization and functioning of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House) and the Council of the Nation, and functional relations between the two Houses of Parliament and government.
