Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority is organising a programme of cultural activities celebrating #UAENationalDay45 on 1st and 2nd December, from 16:30 to 22:00, in the heart of Al Ain City at Al Jahili Fort.
The programme of music, family workshops and performances revolves around the great achievements that the UAE has accomplished under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who has continued the efforts of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Al Jahili Fort will nurture these patriotic sentiments in a cultural atmosphere filled with Emirati hospitality and music, involving poetry and traditional recitals. Al Ayyalah, a traditional performance which was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2014, will be performed throughout the celebration.
In addition, an air show by Emirates Falcons Aviation Group will present planes flown by elite pilots who will paint the skies with the colours of the UAE flag, alongside a presentation of martial music by Abu Dhabi Police. The event will also host a musical concert under the title 'Memory of an Emirati Song', featuring the singer Khaled Mohammed, who will sing poems dedicated to the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, together with poetry recitations by poet Osha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, also known as Fatat Al-Arab, poet Salem Al Jamri, and others.
The programme will engage visitors in a variety of hands-on family workshops.
