Fifteen young and talented employees of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, have completed the Future Energy Leaders Excellence Programme, FELEP, launched by DEWA in collaboration with German company, RWE Innogy.
The programme included a three week training course to develop social and conceptual skills, as well as content analysis, information and tools to support the development of participants, while developing their skills and preparing them to become the next generation of young leaders.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, said, "DEWA’s vision is inspired by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to involve the youth in the development process, as the future of the UAE’s development is based on core values, led by the youth. DEWA believes that the youth are the driving force behind creating a brighter future. Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders and the cornerstone of the sustainable development adopted by our wise leadership.
"As part of our firm belief that the Emirati youth possess the required skills that will contribute towards achieving DEWA’s vision and help transform Dubai into the smartest city in the world, we provide training and scholarship programmes to develop a generation that realises the role of professional work in achieving sustainable development," added Al Tayer.
