
Five members of the Awakening were killed in an armed attack targeted a checkpoint north of Baquba.A security source told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / today that an armed group attacked, in a late hour last night, checkpoint for the Awakening forces stationed on the outskirts of the Abdul Hamid village, north of Baquba, killing five of its members then the attackers fled to unknown destination.He added that a military force rushed to the scene and began a campaign of raids and searches in search for armed elements., while the bodies of the dead were transferred to the forensic medicine unit in Baquba.
