
Five people were killed and 18 others seriously injured in a road accident in northern Morocco early Thursday. A bus dived into a 800-meter deep ravine in AlHoceima region, leaving five people dead and 18 others seriously injured, the director of Alhoceima hospital told Moroccan radio. It seems that the driver lost control of the vehicle in this mountainous region, said the report. The traffic accident death rate in Morocco is among the highest in Africa, with 4,200 deaths in 2011, a rise of around 12 percent from the previous year, according to figures from the transport ministry.
