The jury of the third external evaluation of institutions, involved in the programme of the Bahrain Centre for Excellence, concluded its work today by reviewing the self-evaluation reports on competitiveness submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI), the Supreme Council for Environment, the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (GDNPR) and the Central Informatics Organization (CIO). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the nature of its competiveness services in the diplomatic corps through investing in embassies and diplomatic missions, as well as consular sector. The Jury also reviewed GOSI's report on applying Complaints Management System in accordance with international standards in order to achieve excellence in serving clients and reinforce its relationship with the society. It also shed light on the "Enterprise Risk Management" project it is currently implementing. GDNPR also presented its self-evaluation report in which it highlighting the nature of its services inside and outside its regional borders so as to promote Bahrain’s reputation and contribute positively to the national economy. Meanwhile, the Supreme Council for Environment said its competitiveness drive is represented in monitoring air and sea water quality through daily, monthly and annual reports in addition to controlling air pollution. The Central Informatics Organization said that the three main sectors which require competitiveness labs are statistics, identity card and population register and information technology, explaining that their competitiveness can be enhanced through providing timely data, speedy transactions, establishing the Computer Emergency Response Team CERT and developing a mechanism to measure the satisfaction of dealers. It is to be noted that the external Arbitration jury includes the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of State for Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa, and InJaz Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, as well as the General Coordinator of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme Professor Ahmed Al Nusairat and the Strategic Marketing expert Dr Said Al-Hasan.
