The General Security Directorate said Tuesday that it managed to foil a terrorist plan to carry out attacks against Lebanon's sovereignty and arrested three people. It said in a statement that "as a result of the investigation and pursuit of terrorist networks, the concerned security apparatus in the General Security Directorate managed to arrest three people of Lebanese and Syrian nationalities belonging to a terrorist network that was planning to carry out acts of sabotage and breach of security on the Lebanese territory by explosions and assassination operations." The security agency stressed that it will continue pursuing all "terrorists clans and the illegal immigration operations to protect the Lebanese and protect the stability in the country."
