Israeli warplanes have raided a position of Al-Qassam Brigades, military wing of the Islamic movement Hamas, in southern Gaza, local radio stations reported early on Friday. One Palestinian was wounded in the strike, carried out last night, the radio stations said. The attack caused fires that were put out by relief teams and firemen that scrambled to the scene, located on a plot of land, formerly site of the Jewish outpost, "Netzarim." The aircraft carried out a second strike targeting Al-Nafaq street in the north of Gaza city. One Palestinian was slightly wounded in this attack. However, a spokesman of the Israeli Army said the warplanes struck an arms depot in the north of Gaza and a makeshift arms factory located in the strip center. The raids were carried out in retaliation for firing missiles from the enclave targeting Israeli regions. At least one Palestinian died and several others were wounded in Israeli air strikes carried out in response to unleashing missiles and shells over the past days.
