
At least one man was killed and five others injured Friday as street clashes between Egyptian police and pro-ousted president Mohamed Morsi continued in several cities across the nation. In a press statement, the Health Ministry said that five protesters were wounded in clashes in the governorates of Giza, Fayyoum, and Menya. The wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, the statement added. The clashes erupted between the police and pro-ousted president in several cities across the nation including Cairo when the police moved in to disperse protesters. The pro-Morsi supporters have been organizing near daily protests since his overthrow on July 3 to demand his reinstatement. The rallies often end with clashes when police trying to disperse the protesters.
