Arsène Wenger believes that German players are ideally suited to the Premier League. Arsenal announced the signing of Lukas Podolski earlier this week, while Per Mertesacker and Thomas Eisfeld have also joined the Club this season. Wenger is confident that his latest recruit will have no problem adapting to life in England and says many Bundesliga players would flourish on these shores. “They are close to an English mentality, but I must say that we do not look too much at the nationality [of a new signing],” he told Arsenal Player. “What is for sure is that the German championship is hard physically as well [as the Premier League], and it is easy for them to learn the language here, they learn it very quickly. “Most of them speak English fluently when they come here, so their integration is easy.”
