Ranieri: We want to catch up to the Serie A

The trainer was happy with his side's performance in the win over Lecce, insisting he wants his team to continue moving up the ladder to return to "where we really deserve to be" .Inter coach Claudio Ranieri has stated that his side is going into 2012 with the intention of making it to the top spots.The Guiseppe Meazza-based side sit fifth in the standings after a 4-1 trashing of Lecce at home.  Giampaolo Pazzini, Diego Milito, Esteban Cambiasso and Ricky Alvarez were on target for Inter in a confident performance against Serse Cosmi's strugglers.Ranieri insisted that his desire is the team to continue improving, and climb to a place worthy of their ability."Today we were unlucky, because we hit the post four times, but then did well to recover from the initial disadvantage," said the 60-year-old as quoted by Corriere dello Sport."This Christmas we wanted to win, we always say that we should make a comeback, return to where we really deserve to be. It will not be easy, but we will give everything."The team needs to do more, we can and must do much better. The Scudetto? We take it one game at a time."Inter resume action in Serie A against Parma on January 7.
