Yemeni Chief of Staff: Coup Militias Deliberately Thwart Truce

The Chief of Yemeni General Staff Major General Mohammad Ali Almekdeshi confirmed that the coup militias in his country deliberately thwarted humanitarian truce declared by the United Nations.

    Almekdeshi said that every one saw the repeated breaches of that militias and the lack of commitment to each truce by launching ballistic missiles on residential neighborhoods in the city of Marib and indiscriminate bombardment against civilians in Taiz and targeting military sites in more than one front, according to Yemeni official news agency.

    He added that the violation by coup militia of the truce is added to the conviction of political and military leadership in Yemen that the coup perpetrators are not serious to accept peace and readiness for a cease-fire, and confirms their intransigence and continuation of war
