Popular resistance forces take over Tha'abat area east of Taiz

Popular Resistance factions liberated Tha'abat area east of Taiz from militias of Houthis and ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Six army and resistance personnel were killed and 21 injured during the confrontations in Tha'abat, the military council's media office said.

Seven civilians were injured during shelling of residential areas, the media office said.

The office added that 11 militiamen were killed during clashes in Tha'abat, al-Jahmalia and Uqbah district, noting that Uqbah School - which is a militia haven - was taken over.
