Twenty-four militias of Houthis and ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh were killed and scores others injured during Arab coalition airstrikes and clashes with legitimate forces in various parts of western Taiz, Yemeni military sources said on Wednesday.
The legitimate forces took over vast areas of Jabal Huzan and Al Amri mountains in southwestern Taiz, the sources told the Arabic-speaking Sky News.
Yemen has been entangled in civil war since 2015 when Houthis and Saleh supporters attempted a coup against the internationally-recognized Yemeni government of Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi.
Later on, Saudi Arabia led an Arab coalition to back Hadi and resistance forces.
