Israeli Forces Launch Wide Scale Raids in Jerusalem and West Bank

Israeli police overnight and Sunday detained 18 Arab citizens during wide-scale raids in the city of Jerusalem.Sources said that the Israeli police raided Arab citizens’ homes in several areas of Jerusalem, especially in the old city, and detained 18 of them while giving two orders to appear before the Israeli intelligence, Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported. 
The raids came following Israel’s decision to ban Palestinians from the occupied West Bank from entering Jerusalem during the Jewish holiday "Passover", which is celebrated until April 17th. Meanwhile, Israeli authorities issued on Sunday orders to ban 23 Arab citizens from the city of Jerusalem from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for various periods of time, WAFA said. It said that some citizens are banned for two weeks, while others are banned for six months. 
This came following similar decisions taken by the Israeli authorities to ban Arabs, including citizens and Aqsa workers and staff, from entering al-Aqsa mosque during the celebrations of the Jewish holiday. In the West Bank, the Israeli forces detained at least seven Palestinians in different parts. 
The Israeli soldiers stormed several towns in Hebron and arrested several Palestinians.The soldiers shut down a black smithy workshop in the town of al-Shuyukh, east of Hebron, after claiming that it is used to manufacture weapons. They also raided the town of Sa’ir and ransacked a house.
