Islamabad - Irna

Religious scholars, representing different schools of thought, described recent US allegations against Iran as a 'conspiracy' aimed at creating discord between Islamic states, media reports said on Monday. According to Daily Ummat, religious scholars speaking at the meeting of Muttahida Ulema Mahaz (MUM) urged the Muslim Ummah to shun their differences and unite against US-Israel nexus. Religious leaders, expressing their views, said that the US is hatching conspiracies against Iran. They warned that the US and Zionists are trying to light the fire of sectarianism in Muslim states. They were confident that Muslims would not allow the US to accomplish its nefarious designs against Muslim countries. Religious leaders, referring to the recent US accusations on Pakistan regarding its links with Haqqani network, said that it is a part of a conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan. Chairman Tehreek-e-Ahlehadith Allama Abdullah Ghazi on the occasion asked Muslims to stand against the conspiracies of imperialists. He stated that it is the responsibility of religious people to promote harmony in Muslim societies. Allama Yousaf Hussain, expressing his views, said that the incidents of target killings in Quetta have become a routine. He added that the US is behind such attacks. Earlier local media, quoting an intelligence official, reported that the suspect, arrested in connection with the plot to assassinate Saudi ambassador to Washington, was working for the US intelligence and has received false identity documents from Mossad three months back. The intelligence official said that how it is possible for Iran to engage a person working for American intelligence. Saifullah Khalid a local journalist in his article said that America has designed the story to divert the world’s attention from war in Afghanistan.
