Ambassador Abdel Baset el-Badri, the special envoy of Libyan parliament head Aquila Saleh and Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces Khalifa Hafter, asserted that Russia would back all efforts to settle the Libyan crisis.

In statements to Russia Today, Badri said he met during his visit to Moscow with several Russian officials topped by Russian Foreign Minister Sergie Lavrov for talks on means of resolving the Libyan crisis.

He conveyed to the Russian officials viewpoints of the Libyan parliament and army vis-a-vis the current crisis.
