Saudi Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, has stressed on the concerted position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the other GCC member states, in support of Bahrain and the UAE to preserve their sovereignty and stability as the two countries’ security is an integral part of the security of the GCC member countries. Addressing the 13th Consultative Meeting of the ministers of interior of member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, he confirmed his country’s position which condemns the unacceptable practices by a neighboring country of the United Arab Emirates which managed to ignore the right of the UAE in its three island occupied by Iran. He also denounced the terrorist explosion which recently took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain, injuring seven security men. “Any harm to be sustained by any member country of the GCC, automatically harms the others in the group,” Prince Naif was quoted by Saudi Press Agency as saying. He pointed out to the close relation between security and the civilized development of nations and peoples, confirming that the preservation of security is a humanitarian requirement and duty.
